During a weekend, the Detime editorial team walked around the San Francisco streets. We can ever say that the Golden Gate Bridge isn’t the only inevitable place! Lots of attractive sites are visible everywhere in the city. You will have at least two days to round it.
One Starbucks in hand, we took the mythic Cable-car to go to Fishermans Wharf. The ride to Pier 39 offers a wonderful view of Alcatraz Island and Golden Gate Bridge far away. Here you can taste the local dish: the clam soup which is served in a bread bowl.
The Golden Gate Bridge captures all tourists, don’t miss the opportunity to discover this huge building and walk a few meters on the bridge! If it’s sunny, a picnic in the Golden Gate Park is the best moment with friends or family to be on the American time. Enjoy the barbecues and green spaces to relax watching training or baseball games which regularly going on. The park is vast, you can visit the Japonese Tea Garden, play golf or go to the Bison Paddock. Finishing the day, enjoy the view on San Francisco at The View bar on the 29th floor of Marriott Marquis on Mission Street. You feel dizzy?! No problem, there are bars for everyone everywhere in the city.
To end the weekend: shopping day! Many shops in Union Square delighted us. If you don’t find your treasure, you might prefer the Westfield San Francisco Center.
